For Fifth Year in a Row, Gibbons Named One of the Top Ten Best Places to Work in New Jersey

May 4, 2010
Gibbons P.C. has placed fifth among large companies in the “Best Places to Work in New Jersey” rankings, largely due to “The Gibbons Experience,” the comprehensive, unique package of employee-focused benefits, policies, and initiatives that help the firm attract, retain, and promote the highest quality workforce even in challenging economic times. The awards program is produced by NJBIZ, the weekly publication covering business in New Jersey. This is the fifth consecutive year Gibbons has appeared in the top 10 on this list.

The Best Places to Work in New Jersey award, presented to this year’s honorees at an evening awards ceremony on April 22 at the Hilton East Brunswick, is intended to identify, recognize, and honor companies that benefit the state’s economy, workforce, and fellow businesses. The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program awards up 50 companies in two groups: 25 medium companies (25-249 employees) and 25 large companies (more than 250 employees). Gibbons was honored in the “large company” category.

“The firm’s clients clearly take seriously their commitment to their own employees, because so many of them are regularly recognized as ‘Best Places to Work,’” said Patrick C. Dunican, Jr., the firm’s Chairman and Managing Director. “As always, we are honored to be in their company. Employee morale is directly related to client service, and so to continue to provide these clients with the level of service they have come to expect, we continue to make sure our employees remain highly satisfied in their jobs.”

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 50 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. The first part comprised an analysis of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. This analysis was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part of the process consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience, totaling approximately 75 percent of the evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in New Jersey, with assistance from Modern Think LLC, who analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.
